    required reading for people researching the body, but this collection, while useful in the way all related scholarship is, makes for some uneven reading entries range from the sublime a deeply personal queer reading of fussell s muscle to the soporific female bodybuilding s a great subject, you bet, but a there were so few bodybuilders, b pumping iron 2 was dreadful in every conceivable way, and c these treatments of the sport are pretty snooze inducing.
