    First book was a 4 star with promise, second book has clear improvement boom 5 stars Longer review to come I always struggle with reviews that aren t the first in the series.

    A Star Reckoner s Lot was written as a standalone, and that still rings true However, the ending did give me the option to press on Due to the first book s reception, I ve decided to do so As much as I d like to, I can t in good conscience promote An Ill Fated Sky as a standalone So there you have it A Star Reckoner s Legacy 2.

    I firmly believe that the best way to fix a controversial ending is to forge ahead with a sequel, smoothing the rough edges over, taking to heart what criticism you deem reasonable without compromising your vision An Ill Fated Sky is a great example of this approach, and I hope those who loved A Star Reckoner s Lot but had issues with the last few chapters will give it a chance I know I was one of them, although after some research and deliberation, I grew to appreciate the ending.The short of i [...]
