Debby Holt is the author of five books….The Ex-Wife’s Survival Guide, Annie May’s Black Book, The Trouble with Marriage, Love Affairs for Grown-Ups and her fifth novel Recipe for Scandal will be in all good book shops from January.

Lee Coombes started performing as lead singer in post-punk, jazz funk outfit ‘Ultimate Dance.’ After moving to London in the early eighties he performed with Vic Reeves in the infamous Deptford Tunnel Club as well as The Parrot Café and Society of The Spectacle Skillfully snatching obscurity from the teeth of fame, Coombes moved back to Bath where he worked as a community film maker and scriptwriter. After completing an MA in Creative Writing at Bath Spa University his play ‘CabMaster’ was performed by Theatre West in Bristol and then to The Stuttgart Foreign Language Theatre Festival.
Coombes continued to believe in the short story format even when nobody else did winning several literary prizes and getting published in cult US magazine ‘Exquisite Corpse,’ ‘The French Literary Review’ and ‘Bullet,’ magazine. As part of Bristol-based performance prose outfit ‘Words Allowed,’ Coombes toured the UK on an Arts Council sponsored tour before performing in several sell out one man shows round the country. The first act of a new play ‘Rinsed,’ recently appeared as part of the Ferment festival of new writing in production at Bristol Old Vic. He is currently writing a pilot for a TV series.

Morag Joss - Arvon tutor and author of seven novels, the Sara Selkirk series set in Bath, Silver Dagger winner Half Broken Things and The Night Following, which won an Edgar Allan Poe Award nomination for Best Novel 2009. Best selling author Victoria Finlay says “writing a book proposal is a brilliant thing to learn - I know that I would have struggled much harder to get an agent and book deal if somebody hadn't taught me that skill. And it's fun to do in a short workshop...” She is the author of the acclaimed Colour: Travels through the Paintbox and Jewels: A secret history. She also co-wrote Faith in Conservation.

Gerard Woodward is an award winning novelist and poet. His first collection of poems, 'Householder' was published in 1991 and won the Somerset Maugham award, his novel 'August' was listed for the Whitbread Book Awards and 'I'll go to bed at noon' (2004) for the Man Booker prize.
He is a regular reviewer for the TLS, The Guardian and the Daily Telegraph and is Fellow of the Royal Society of Literature. As well as being a regular tutor at the Arvon Foundation Gerard teaches creative writing at Bath Spa University. Gerard’s book of short stories 'Caravan Thieves' published by Chatto & Windus has been described as moving from the mundane to the surreal (The Observer)
